Medical Studies

Theoretical training


 This course is organized in modules that combine serveral indivisible specialities. The contents of these modules are specified below.
  • First semester  (September-December)
Module A [DOCX - 50 Ko] (20  ECTS credits) : Cardiology,  Pulmonology, Endocrinology, Hematology, Dermatology, Plastic Surger
Module B [DOCX - 53 Ko] (20 ECTS credits) : Hepato-gastroentérology, Digestive Surgery, Nephrology, Urology, Internal Medicine, Gynecology
 
  • Second Semester  (January - May)
Module C [DOCX - 68 Ko] (20 ECTS credits) : Pediatrics, Child Psychiatry, ENT, Emergency-Resusitation, Infectious diseases
Module D [DOCX - 51 Ko] (20 ECTS credits) Neurology-neurosurgery, Psychiatry, Rheumatology, Orthopédics, Geriatrics, Ophtalmology, Physical Medicine - Rehabilitation

Each student chooses one module per semester.
This teaching is done mainly by electronics means.
The students admitted open a personal electronic account on the site of the University of Poitiers.
They can thus access and participate in cross-selectional clinical cases of the module in which they are enrolled.

Practical training


When writing the learning agreement, the student chooses the specialities of the internships he wishes to perform.These courses have a minimum of duration of one month. The intership program is established before the arrival of the student and cannot be modified.
All students are on an internship at the hospital ever morning. These courses are validated by the head of department.

Note that most of the courses at the Department of Medicine are taught in French and that the B1 level in the French language is generally required to attend them.
